Borrowers who return their orders on time will be entered into a monthly drawing for free return shipping to use for their next order. Check out the official rules (PDF file) for this promotion.

Items can be borrowed for four (4) weeks within California. The California Healthy Kids Resource Center will package and send items to you via UPS. CHKRC pays to send materials, borrower pays to return materials (average cost $4–12). Save shipping box to return materials.

You must register with the Center’s library to borrow materials (it’s free and easy). Register online or print and fax registration to 510–670-4582. Privacy Policy: We will not provide any of your personal information to other companies or individuals without your permission. However, we may need to provide your name and delivery address to third parties that CHKRC uses for the purposes of delivering specific services to you (e.g., a shipping company to send CHKRC materials, newsletters, and catalogs, and conference materials to you.) Authorized borrowers are responsible for the care and return of materials. Completing the order form indicates that you accept responsibility for:

• Signature to accept delivery when sent to residence addresses
• The care and guarded possession of materials
• Damage rendered to materials, i.e. voluntary liability
• Indicating if material is damaged or not in useable condition
• Returning of the materials ON OR BEFORE return date, so others receive materials in a timely manner (allow 3 to 5 days for shipping)
• Adequate protective packaging for shipping, (tip: save and reuse original shipping box and packing material)
• Insuring and return shipping costs via UPS or other traceable carrier. (Note: UPS, Airborne, and Federal Express preferred over U.S. Mail because of their excellent parcel tracking and recovery service.)
• Providing full replacement cost for any materials lost or damaged while in your possession

In addition, the borrower agrees to respect that the video,curricula, and books in the CHKRC collection are protected by copyright laws and that unauthorized reproduction constitutes a violation of U.S. copyright laws.
