Apply for the Material Review Board

Teachers, after school program staff, nutrition and health educators, school health providers, and university staff are encouraged to apply for the 2016–2017 Material Review Board (MRB) for the California Healthy Kids and After School Resource Center. MRB members will evaluate preschool to grade twelve instructional materials in behavior management, program administration, nutrition, physical activity, health and safety, and youth development for use in California schools or after school programs. MRB evaluations help us determine which instructional materials to make available via the Web sites and circulating libraries.

This year we will specifically be reviewing in the following subject areas:

  • Alcohol and Other Drugs
  • Growth and Development
  • Mental, Emotional, and Social Health
  • Nutrition
  • Nutrition Services
  • Physical Activity
  • Program Administration
  • Sexual Health
  • Tobacco
